SPIDEY (DRAWING)
I'm usually thinking about the painting while I'm working on the sketches. Here, I knew I had to nail a few things before I picked up a brush. Mostly, I wanted Spidey to feel like a coiled spring - full of nimble power. I had to get his fingers pointing in all the right directions. And the web had to be a web . . . not a rope. Everything else I'd figure out on the easel.
